Michelle Goglia practices primarily in the areas of employment law, promotion, marketing and advertising law, and general business law.

In the employment law area, Michelle counsels national, regional and local clients on a wide variety of issues, such as hiring, wage and hour issues, performance management and discipline, individual and group terminations, employment policies and manuals, discrimination and harassment matters, and non-competition and other restrictive covenants. She drafts and negotiates offer letters, employment agreements, non-competition agreements and separation agreements. Michelle also conducts sexual harassment and anti-discrimination seminars for the firm’s clients.

In her promotion, marketing and advertising law practice, Michelle advises advertising agencies, sales promotion agencies, entertainment companies and national advertisers on such matters as the design, structure and execution of contests, sweepstakes and other games of chance, the review of advertising claims for legal compliance, the drafting and review of web site terms and conditions and privacy policies, and the development and execution of “cause” marketing promotions. Michelle drafts and negotiates agreements including marketing services agreements, sponsorship agreements and license agreements. She also represents clients in challenges before the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus and conducts games of chance and claim substantiation seminars for the firm’s clients.

In the firm’s business law practice, Michelle has represented clients in many different types of industries in matters such as the purchase and sale of a business and the formation of joint venture relationships. She also drafts and negotiates a wide variety of contracts, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements and complex service agreements.
